This 10 session webinar brings Dr. Monastra's parenting class into your home. Join our live webinar on Thursdays at 1:00 PM EST (or listen to the recorded session). Begins 9/15/16.
Children and teens with ADHD can have amazing abilities, tremendous determination, and incredible success...when they are doing something that is important, interesting, life threatening or fun. BUT, when it comes to paying attention in the classroom, organizing and completing their homework, remembering to pick up their room or do their chores, it's a totally different story. Even more frustrating is the fact that no matter what you offer them, take away from them, or do to them, it doesn't seem to matter.
For the past 25 years, Dr. Monastra has spent countless hours talking with thousands of kids with ADHD and their parents. The lessons that he's learned about what is physically getting in the way of attention, and what kinds of strategies actually motivate these children have been published in the award winning book, Parenting Children with ADHD: 10 Lessons that Medicine Cannot Teach. These lessons are the foundation of the parenting classes that are taught at his clinic in Upstate New York.
Because many families live in communities where specialized clinics are not available, we now offer the opportunity for you to join Dr. Monastra's class wherever you live, and learn how to apply these lessons in your home. In each class, Dr. Monastra will teach one of the lessons from his parenting book, and you will have the opportunity to "practice" the lesson during the class, ask questions during the class, and apply the lesson at home. During the week between each class you will be able to communicate with Dr. Monastra via email in order to address any additional questions that you might have.
A copy of Parenting Children with ADHD: 10 Lessons that Medicine Cannot teach will be provided to each participant so that they can use the worksheets and other educational materials at home.
